What does engine bay cleaning include?

Engine bay cleaning is a very different process to our other car detailing services. Rather than a polishing machine and pressure washer, we start the engine bay detailing process with a vacuum cleaner to remove any debris like leaves, dirt, and dust. Safety is of paramount importance, and we need to protect the car’s electronics, so the battery is disconnected and electrical components are waterproofed.

Next, it’s time to get rid of all the oil and grease which has built up over the miles. We use quality degreaser solutions on all exposed surfaces and allow it to sit for optimal results. Once the degreaser has had time to work, we’ll scrub the areas in question with a detailing brush to eradicate the stubborn dirt which gathers around hoses, caps and pipes.

Now it is time to finish up the engine bay detailing by rinsing the loosened grease and dirt. This is an extra-delicate part of the engine bay cleaning process, using low pressure water steam to ensure a controlled and precise clean. The final step is to then dry the engine thoroughly and reattach all the electric components.
